Know Your ANSI Standards & Requirements

ANSI Classes are based on worker hazards and tasks, job site complexity and vehicle traffic speed. Make sure you know your work environment and which standard of safety apparel is required before you start any job.

ANSI CLASS 3 - Highest level of visibility for high task loads and a wide range of weather conditions. Designed to be visible throughout the full range of body motions. Required on roads where traffic exceeds 50 mph.

ANSI CLASS 2 - High visibility for workers where traffic speeds exceed 25 mph. Designed to make workers stand out against complex or uneven backgrounds and common roadside scenes.

ANSI CLASS E - High visibility pants that are worn without other ANSI compliant garments are considered Class E apparel. When class E pants are combined with other ANSI class 2 or 3 apparel, the entire outfit meets ANSI Class 3 requirements.

NON ANSI - Colored and reflective clothing that provides an additional level of safety for low-risk activities. Non-ANSI apparel is ideal for parking lots and other non-roadside safety environments.
